NOTE: Click here if you need to log in; then go to your blog to work.

Pardon us as we recover from a software problem.  All links and blogroll entries are along the right side of this page temporarily.  We’ll have things back to normal ASAP.

Welcome to the main page for the Tuscaloosa City Schools blogging system. We encourage all teachers to have a blog and to have their blog listed on the their school Website staff or classes page (as well as under their school name on this page) to make it easier for you to find them.

Parents, what will you find on this page?

  • On the left hand side of the page, you will find the “blogroll” which is a list of links to district and “department-level” blogs, school Websites, principals’ pages, school library pages, etc.
  • On the right hand side of the page under “links”, you will find faculty and personal blogs, grouped by site.  For example, if you have a child at Southview Elementary, click the Southview Elementary link on the right side of the page to find your child’s teacher.

Teachers, what are the benefits of blogging for you?

  • No “lost” handouts – all documents are on the Web
  • Post podcasts, videos, photos, or documents, all on  your blog
  • Update your site from any computer with internet and a browser, at home in your jammies, from a cafe or bookstore, wherever!
  • Fast, easy, no special web knowledge required
  • Switching schools? Not a problem to move your classroom website! Simply add a link on the new school website to your blog and delete the old link on your previous school website.
  • You can create your blog right now and begin building your classroom website! No special technical requirements
  • Call the tech department for help – some of us look for any excuse to play with blogging.  We’d love to help!
